💬 Dopamine Hit of the Week
Consistency isn’t something you are. It’s something you chase. Just like infinity you don’t become it, you just keep moving toward it.
👋🏾 Hey, it’s Mallentino

I swear its actually me not AI generated
Let’s be real:
Yeah, I know. It’s been a minute since the last issue (April 8th). And yet, here we are. Not starting over. Just continuing.
And that’s exactly what today’s issue is about.
Let’s talk about the myth of consistency.
Consistency is a Journey not a destination
🔍 Deep Dive: The Myth of Consistency
🧠 Consistency is often sold as an identity.
Like it’s a badge you earn. A trait you either have or don’t.
But that’s not how it works.
Consistency is not something you are. It’s something you do. Or more precisely: something you keep doing.
It’s a direction, not a destination. A practice, not a personality.
Let’s use a little math metaphor (bear with me):
Infinity isn’t a number. It’s the idea of something that never ends.
There are an infinite number of numbers between 1 and 2. Also an infinite number between 0 and 1.5.
That’s what consistency is like.
You don’t hit a finish line. You keep showing up. Even when you miss a beat, the act of returning…that is consistency.
Missing a day? Not inconsistent. Quitting? Not the final word. Stopping, then continuing again? That is consistency.
🪡 Why This Matters (Especially to Us)
If you’re anything like me (and you probably are if you’re reading this), you’ve had moments where:
You fell off your workout
You ghosted your Notion planner
You didn’t post content for weeks
You questioned if you were really about this life
But here’s the truth:
High-performance isn’t about never falling off. It’s about shortening the distance between a slip and a restart.
Every time you return to the routine, the reps, the ritual you are embodying consistency. Not by perfection. But by return.
This is especially real for people building in multiple verticals: real estate, fitness, content, business, self. You can’t run every lane perfectly at all times.
But you can return.
A show I watched recently that embodied this is The Queen’s Gambit.
The main character was always THE MAIN CHARACTER.
Although with her fair shares of downs but she became a world champion because she kept returning.
⚙️ The Return System: Tools I use to keep coming back
One of the most powerful tools I’ve used to rebuild consistency is Notion, AI and icloud (yea fr).
Instead of starting from scratch when I fall off, I use the templates, AI frameworks and prompt-starters like:
Content Creation - A database that stores all my ideas and journey.
Tick Tick - A todo list database that syncs with Notion calendar
"What patterns do I want to break this week?"
"What 3 small wins can I stack today?"
icloud photos helps me track what I’ve been spending my time and life doing because i document my life due to The Power of Creating & Documenting.
I have a system called The Return Stack a Notion database + Ai prompts and icloud built for when I drop the ball. Not to guilt me. But to re-align me.
It’s proof that consistency doesn’t just live in streaks. It lives in structure.
If you’re building a brand, business, or body these tools can help you press play again without shame.
These are meant to reduce the activation time that stops you from returning.
🏋️♂️ Mind & Body Boost: The Restart Week
Solo elevator ride in Montreal
Meal prepping for the week
After time off from the gym, content, or routine, I don’t go 100% Day 1.
I do a Restart Week:
3 light workouts (mobility + circuits)
1-hour content session (usually audio + outline only)
Air out your mind go for a walk or journal.
Sunday reset (plan your upcoming week)
Life audit (look through your icloud or camera roll & ask yourself does this align with who I want to be?
Clean your space (your room, your condo, your house).
Emotional Awareness check(write out how you feel in some way or medium to gain clarity).
Easy wins: 1 early morning, 1 cleaned space, 1 meal prepped
“1 foot in front of the other” - my mom.
Momentum > intensity.
This builds emotional confidence before performance pressure.
👣 Thought to Chew On:
You don’t have to be consistent. You just have to keep returning.
You’re not broken. You’re in motion.
And motion is where everything lives.
Let’s keep moving.
